When I was working at Lebanon Paint & Decorating, customers would come in looking for help in choosing a great color to go on their walls.
Sometimes they had no idea what they wanted but would mention they wanted it to appeal to home buyers for resale. There was one color that I would recommend again and again, Benjamin Moore's Soft Fern 2144-40.
This sage green color (please refer to actual color chip due to differences in computer monitors) is so versatile I have specified it for doctor's offices, bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms and home offices. It is well received by men and women, young and old alike. I would ask everyone who used it how their project turned out and I always got good feedback. It is restful and livable yet warm and interesting. It is a great mix of green and gray with an undertone of yellow. (I sound like I'm critiquing wine - an earthy bouquet with a hint of apple.)
So if you are looking for a lovely, medium green and your painter needs your selection ASAP, head for Soft Fern, a tried and true crowd favorite.
